The role of Occupational Health Specialist is to provide expert advice on workplace health and safety matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on fitness-for-work assessments and inherent requirement determinations
  • Support the development of return-to-work strategies and policies
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective medical management of work-related injuries and illnesses
  • Contribute to the creation of a healthy and safe work environment through procedure writing and review
  • Identify trends and implement initiatives to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses

This role requires strong allied health expertise, particularly in the areas of occupational health and injury management. The successful candidate will have experience in managing work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as the ability to interpret medical reports.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in occupational health and injury management
  • Expertise in interpreting medical reports and providing evidence-based advice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
