Employment Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals by providing tailored employment support and guidance.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing individualised employment plans to ensure clients' readiness for sustainable job placements.
  • Collaborating with employers to identify suitable job opportunities that match clients' skills and aspirations.
  • Delivering employment workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions to enhance clients' job-seeking skills and confidence.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client progress and outcomes, ensuring data-driven decision making and continuous improvement of services.
  • BUILDING strong relationships with external stakeholders, including community partners and training providers, to promote collaboration and access to resources.
  • Identifying and addressing any barriers to employment for clients, offering practical solutions and support to overcome challenges.
  • Monitoring and reporting on employment outcomes to ensure service delivery targets are met and exceeded.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of employment service programs through research, analysis, and strategic planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications in human resources, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience in employment services or a similar role within the Not For Profit sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, employers, and community partners.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing detailed reports, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of employment barriers and strategies to overcome them, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving outcomes.
  • A commitment to delivering client-focused services with professionalism, empathy, and a passion for making a difference.
