Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Youth Support Officer to join our PCYC Gold Coast Youth Club in our Project Booyah initiative. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in increasing youth involvement in programs and events.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Booyah State Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the early intervention of criminogenic behaviours and attitudes of at-risk young people. You will work closely with our team to re-engage young people in their education and transition to the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of youth programs and events
  • Provide support and guidance to young people in their education and career development
  • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive environment for young people

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as community services, youth work, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in youth programs and youth support/case management
  • Current drivers' licence or a light rigid driver's licence, and a Restricted Drivers' Authority (or ability to obtain)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or able to obtain)
