JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sales Solutions Engineer plays a pivotal role within the sales channel, delivering technical expertise to the Managed Service Provider (MSP) community. This position is tasked with overseeing and facilitating technical engagements and enablement initiatives across our SaaS MSP partners. A strong emphasis on Commvault's SaaS offerings is essential, as the individual will need to comprehend how partner decisions influence customer outcomes while simultaneously driving revenue growth for Commvault.

The ideal candidate will be recognized as a trusted advisor among stakeholders within the Managed Service Partner ecosystem. The ability to lead technically, mentor, and educate partners is crucial for contributing to Commvault's overall success.

The successful candidate will also support complex sales initiatives by translating business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Commvault Sales and Managed Service partner teams to implement strategies aligned with key SaaS MSP partners.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships, acting as a reliable resource for segments of our partner network.
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of Commvault's SaaS solutions and services.
  • Provide pre-sales support, including demonstrations, technical presentations, and addressing technical inquiries.
  • Stay informed on industry developments and technological advancements.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal sales and support teams to devise effective technical sales strategies.
  • Deliver training and educational sessions to ensure successful demonstrations, proof of value, scoping, and Managed Service partner sales initiatives.
  • Proactively engage with technical decision-makers within partner organizations and develop actionable Technical Account Plans utilizing Commvault's Target Account Selling methodology.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and partner events to generate leads and promote Commvault's offerings.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge through training, certifications, and industry events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
  • Experience in Security, Cloud/SaaS, and/or Data Management.
  • Specialized knowledge and proficiency with at least one major open systems operating system, hypervisor, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with major workloads such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL, SAP, Oracle, and others.
  • Understanding of SaaS infrastructure technologies, including cloud, storage, servers, and networking.
  • Technical selling methodology experience, with the ability to gather feedback to enhance product expertise.
  • Strong background in business case development and TCO modeling is advantageous.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to foster and maintain stakeholder relationships.
