
Events Coordinator Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trade Activation Manager to lead our annual events and display programs across all product segments in New Zealand. This role involves project managing key events such as Back to School campaigns, Christmas, Easter, new product launches, and more.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior team to ensure top-tier market event execution. They will build relationships with external partners to deliver seasonal programs while maintaining agreed timelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of seasonal calendars and working to deadlines, as well as proven experience in trade marketing and event display development and execution management.
Responsibilities:- Leading the trade activation program and managing tasks associated with all seasonal projects
- Effectively overseeing budget management for display and card events
- Collaborating within Category Strategy & Planning and Sales teams to develop and maintain the seasonal event calendar
- Managing the product/display setup process, ensuring alignment with internal procedures
- Coordinating and executing the product/display forecast submission process
- Handling the end-to-end card delivery management, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
- Overseeing the sample sign-off process, ensuring all samples meet requirements before approval
- Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, focusing on ownership of external display card account management
- Facilitating key drivers of pro-active planning and internal/external engagement to ensure smooth execution of all projects
- Leading negotiations with external stakeholders to secure competitive display pricing, creative solutions, and meet critical project timelines
- Minimum 3+ years in similar role
- University degree preferred in related field
- Strong understanding of seasonal calendars and working to deadlines
- Proven experience in trade marketing and event display development and execution management
- Familiarity with gross, mass, and specialty retailers
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated experience in project management
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team player
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong negotiation skills and an eye for detail
- Ability to effectively manage budgets and expectations with confidence
