
Regional Workforce Strategist

As a key member of the regional team, the Workforce Planning Manager plays a vital role in planning and coordinating rostering services. The position involves close collaboration with senior managers to align strategies and systems with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Resources Stream, including the Workforce Planning Unit, to ensure efficient workforce planning and rostering services are delivered to the region.
2. Coordinate resource readiness functions to deliver operational resources, including fleet and equipment.
3. Develop and implement continuous business improvement practices to enhance workforce planning and coordination for regional operations.
4. Communicate and negotiate with operational employees and direct officers to undertake duties at specific locations in line with emerging operational requirements.
5. Manage regional timesheet processes, including collation, authorisation, auditing, and quality assurance activities in accordance with payroll guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to provide authoritative advice on rostering of operational staff and approval of staff entitlements such as annual leave, accrued time, sick leave, long service leave, and time off in lieu (TOIL).
- Strong analytical skills to contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of regional strategic and operational plans, and associated policies and procedures.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to work with stakeholders, including Queensland Health.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to QAS policies and procedures at all times.
- Strong project management skills to manage complex projects related to contemporary resource planning and coordination.
