
Seaworthy Marine Engineering Expert

The ideal candidate will be responsible for contributing to the growth of our Seaworthiness and Regulatory Advisory business. They will work on drafting policy, regulations, and procedures for seaworthiness, supporting the development of guidance material and acceptable means of compliance for the seaworthiness regulations and framework.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting of policy, regulations, and procedures for seaworthiness
- Supporting the development of guidance material and acceptable means of compliance for the seaworthiness regulations and framework
- Assisting the regulated community with the development of compliance submissions, permits, and approvals on behalf of the seaworthiness regulator
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop engineering solutions
- Reviewing engineering documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Participating in meetings with stakeholders and providing engineering insights as needed
- Supporting the implementation of engineering policies and procedures to enhance project efficiency
- Bachelor qualification in marine engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in the maritime engineering or regulatory field
- Australian Government Security clearance
- Familiarity with work health and safety and environmental compliance
- Knowledge of Australian and International maritime conventions and laws
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
