The role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the experienced team at Oceanside Engineering as a Marine Diesel Mechanic. In this full-time role based in Church Point, NSW, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of marine diesel engines and associated equipment.

Key responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and repair a wide range of marine diesel engines and auxiliary systems.
  2. Perform scheduled maintenance on marine vessels according to manufacturer specifications.
  3. Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
  4. Assist with yard operations and other tasks as required.

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in marine diesel mechanics.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of marine diesel engines and associated equipment.
  3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Passion for the marine industry and a commitment to safety.
