Seaworthiness Specialist

This role involves contributing to the drafting of policy, regulations and procedures for seaworthiness.
Main Responsibilities- Develop policy, regulations and procedures for seaworthiness.
- Support the development of guidance material and acceptable means of compliance for seaworthiness regulations and framework.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance submissions, permits and approvals on behalf of the regulator.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
- Review documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide insights as needed during meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years' experience in maritime engineering or regulatory field.
- Australian Government Security clearance is required.
- Familiarity with work health and safety and environmental compliance.
- Knowledge of Australian and International maritime conventions and laws.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
