Job Overview

This role involves contributing to the drafting of policy, regulations and procedures for seaworthiness.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop policy, regulations and procedures for seaworthiness.
  • Support the development of guidance material and acceptable means of compliance for seaworthiness regulations and framework.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance submissions, permits and approvals on behalf of the regulator.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions.
  • Review documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide insights as needed during meetings with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or related field.
  • At least 3 years' experience in maritime engineering or regulatory field.
  • Australian Government Security clearance is required.
  • Familiarity with work health and safety and environmental compliance.
  • Knowledge of Australian and International maritime conventions and laws.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
