About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team as a Senior HR Advisor, Workplace Relations, Performance and Conduct Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing expert advice and support to our staff and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide research and advice on a broad range of employment issues, complex workplace relations matters, relevant legislation, and agreements.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative strategies to improve departmental outcomes when managing complex sensitive people matters, staff engagement, and workplace consultation.
  • Represent the department in dealings with unions and other stakeholders, preparing materials to assist with representation at tribunals and external jurisdictions.
  • Assist and support the research, development, management, and implementation of enterprise agreements, HR Policies, and employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, processes, and better practice.
  • Support team initiatives and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships and assist senior staff to liaise and effectively negotiate with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare written material, including executive briefs, corporate documentation, findings of fact, and formal communications relating to employee conduct and performance.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in human resource management or law.
  • Experience in one or more of the team's responsible HR areas: workplace relations, performance, or conduct.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and initiative.
