Assistant Director, Workplace Relations, Performance and Conduct

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director, Workplace Relations, Performance and Conduct. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of workplace relations, performance, and conduct principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality specialist advice to senior management and technical advice and education to staff on a broad range of employment issues, complex workplace relations matters, relevant legislation, and agreements.
- Identify, design, and develop innovative strategies to improve departmental outcomes when managing complex sensitive people matters, staff engagement, and workplace consultation.
- Represent the department in dealings with unions, tribunals, external jurisdictions, and other stakeholders to avoid disputes or achieve positive outcomes and resolutions.
- Assist and support the research, development, management, and implementation of enterprise agreements, HR Policies, and employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, processes, and better practice.
- Lead, motivate, and gain the commitment of others in achieving a workplace relations focus responsive to contemporary issues and changes in workplace practices.
- Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships, liaise and effectively negotiate with key stakeholders including senior management, staff, industrial organisations, and external agencies.
- Prepare written material including executive briefs and corporate documentation for review by senior staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in human resource management or law.
- Experience in workplace relations, performance, or conduct.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
