Business Development Director

The company specializes in custom-made and tailored services for the collection, remediation, and disposal of industrial, clinical, chemical, and by-product waste.
A key focus area is ensuring customers receive a personal and hands-on experience with meticulous planning and execution, emphasizing their commitment to exceptional service, environmental remediation, and safe collections.
This role will be responsible for driving business growth through tender management, pricing strategies, annual rate lifts, contract review, and submittal. It will also involve maintaining a sales pipeline through strong connections with the Sales teams.
A successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar Commercial Manager or Commercial Finance Manager role and a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Mathematics. Industry experience in Waste, Construction, or Contract Management is desirable.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cost management – reviewing and analyzing key cost areas for improvement
- Assisting managers in understanding key cost drivers and managing within budget
- Capturing, monitoring, and reporting on financial performance in line with division KPIs
- Developing KPI dashboards to support Business Units
In return for your expertise, you can expect a salary range of $170k-$200k + Super and a generous bonus scheme.
