About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our SME Banking team as an Assistant Manager. You'll play a key role in helping to acquire, grow and retain a quality portfolio of customers. Your responsibilities will include partnering with the Relationship Manager to support your portfolio in all aspects of customer service, compliance, processes, systems, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Maintain control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment processes
  • Act in the best interest of the customer and apply a customer-centric approach
  • Proactively develop and maintain a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs
  • Provide solutions towards account maintenance and simple customer requests
  • Support the Relationship Manager with management of a portfolio of SME customers
  • Collaborate with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customers' needs
  • Engage specialist teams when required

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who can bring a customer-centric approach to this role. You'll need to have strong relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Relationship Management: Building, maintaining and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Portfolio Management: The selection, prioritisation and management of a portfolio of work/and or customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver.
  • Customer Solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/or providing considered options, that meet those needs.
  • Fulfilment: The end-to-end execution of a process, or part thereof, to achieve a customer or end user outcome.
  • Data Interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
