Data Center Operations Specialist, Critical Infrastructure Management

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team in managing critical infrastructure within an Amazon Data Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of data center facilities, including risk management and mitigation, maintenance of critical systems, vendor management, and metric reporting.
This is a 6-month fixed-term hire with the possibility of becoming a full-time role. Key responsibilities include assisting on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, maintaining performance benchmarks, generating change management requests, and contributing to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in data center operations, excellent communication and leadership skills, attention to detail, and a facilities management mindset. Prior experience in data center engineering or operations is highly desirable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with a degree or technical certification (e.g., Cert IV) in a relevant field and relevant experience will be considered. Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering is also beneficial.
