Academic Leader in Nursing Education

Seeking a dedicated and experienced academic professional to lead the teaching effort of our department, school, faculty or organisational unit.
About the RoleWe are looking for an individual who can engage in teaching and assessment in nursing courses offered by the University, delivering, developing, and coordinating courses on offer in the nursing discipline.
The successful candidate is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort and play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. Key responsibilities include engaging in teaching and assessment, delivering, developing, and coordinating courses, supporting ongoing curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
In addition to these key responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have experience in supervision of graduate diploma students, subject coordination, recruitment of students, and performance of interim and summative evaluations of courses.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to hold a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and a postgraduate qualification or Master's degree in a relevant discipline. You must also have current nurse registration with Ahpra and at least 3 years clinical nursing experience.
A demonstrated ability to provide high-quality teaching in a university setting and experience with course coordination and academic governance are essential. Additionally, excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team are required.
