About the Role:

The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a highly qualified Academic Leader to join its School of Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of paramedicine programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation, development, and delivery of lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and workplace integrated learning support for the Master of Paramedicine and Graduate Diploma of Paramedicine.
  • Courses coordination and line management of teaching team members.
  • Involvement in professional activities to maintain professional accreditation requirements.
  • Consultation with students to ensure their needs are met.
  • Broad administrative functions, including marking and assessment, with regular quality review to meet all academic integrity and University policy and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Possession of a paramedicine qualification, registered with AHPRA, and a PhD or Master's degree with five years' experience in health or professional practice-based education settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in the education and assessment of paramedics.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management qualities, with high-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collegially within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Web-based applications, with knowledge and experience in using Learning Management Systems like Blackboard.
