Academic Lecturer in Nursing

The University of New England (UNE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Nursing to join our dynamic team. As a Lecturer in Nursing, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students in our Nursing courses, which are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to succeed in the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and assess students in Nursing courses, using a range of teaching methods and technologies.
- Develop and implement curriculum materials, assessments, and evaluation tools to ensure high-quality learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the Nursing courses, including curriculum design, program evaluation, and accreditation processes.
- Engage in service activities, such as academic advising, student mentoring, and committee work.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the School and University to enhance the student experience and contribute to the development of the Nursing discipline.

Requirements- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with no conditions.
- A postgraduate degree in an area of Nursing or health professional education.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality in higher education.
- High-level oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and evidence of contributing to effective outcomes in nurse education.
- Willingness and capacity to contribute to School, Faculty, and University activities related to student recruitment, pastoral care, and the enhancement of the environment for students.
