The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia is a leading cultural institution dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing audiovisual media. With a rich history dating back to 1935, our collection boasts over 125 million views annually.
Job OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional Team Leader Audiovisual Conservation to join our team in Canberra or Melbourne. This 9-month opportunity offers a chance to contribute to our digital transformation and play a key role in shaping the future of our audiovisual preservation program.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Audiovisual Conservation team in coordinating staff resources and ensuring the program meets strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the preservation and ongoing care of our audiovisual collection.
- Collaborate with colleagues to undertake a range of collection care programs, including Integrated Pest Management and chemical management.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
A strong background in audiovisual format knowledge and leadership skills.Ability to strategically contribute to the NFSA program.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.BenefitsThis position offers a competitive salary, ranging from AU$ 90,000 to AU$ 110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
