Acton Park, Tasmania, Australia National Film & Sound Archive of Australia Full time

About the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia

Located in Canberra, our institution is undergoing significant change. Following increased government investment, we are transforming into a dynamic cultural organisation. Our collection, dating back to 1935, boasts around 125 million views each year.

We are rebuilding our curatorial workforce and enhancing our capacity to digitise our collection at scale – to preserve it for the future, make it discoverable, and share it with Australians.

We continue to develop a stable, secure, and future-proof workforce across four physical sites in Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne.

We are improving corporate systems to boost efficiency and reduce manual handling.

We strive to be an employer of choice in the GLAM sector, offering exciting work, favourable employment conditions, and unique development opportunities.

The NFSA's Indigenous Connections team seeks a motivated Project Coordinator to assist in delivering programs and projects that amplify Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices and centre First Nations perspectives.

This role involves coordinating team activities, supporting collection acquisition, repatriation, and engagement activities. The ideal candidate excels in research, communication, and task management.

Prior experience in the NFSA's operating environment or the audiovisual industry is advantageous. Transferable skills are highly valued in this field.

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum.
