**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Care Specialist to join our team at CraigCare Pascoe Vale on a Permanent Full Time & Part time basis. You should be available for PM and Night Shifts.

**About the Role**

This rewarding role involves working under the guidance of our Registered Nurses, assisting our residents with their daily living activities to enhance their well-being and ensure care delivery is to the highest standard.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Support residents in maintaining their independence and exercising choice in their daily lives.

• Contribute to the overall quality of life of the residents by providing person-centered care that caters to their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.

• Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by the Registered Nurses, as documented in the resident's care plan.

• Assist residents with their personal care and hygiene needs while promoting their independence and dignity.

• Demonstrate kindness, patience, and respect towards residents, prioritizing their individual needs and preferences.

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided.

**Benefits**

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care /Individual Support (or currently working towards)

• Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Act, and Quality of Care Principles

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly

• Previous work experience within the aged care sector is preferred but not essential

• Current NDIS clearance, proof of Rights to Work, and a current immunisation certificate (including influenza and vaccination against COVID-19, including booster)
