About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing mediation services to families in need. Your expertise and passion for dispute resolution will help us deliver our mission and make a real difference in the lives of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide family dispute resolution services (mediation) to clients, identifying problem-solving options and strategies to resolve disputes.
- Assist parents in negotiating sustainable and workable parenting plans, as well as financial settlements when necessary.
- Conduct assessments to determine the provision of Certificates as required by Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Regulations.
- Facilitate group programs as needed, providing guidance on property and financial matters.
- Work with the LGBTIQ community to provide Better Pride specialist services.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, with a proven ability to work within the Family Law Act. Your knowledge of the effects of separation and divorce on families is essential, as is an understanding of the concepts and philosophy of family dispute resolution, including mediation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as well as the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to issues as they arise.
