Caregiving Specialist

We are seeking experienced Caregiving Specialists to provide resident support at our CraigCare Pascoe Vale home. The successful candidates will work closely with our registered nurses to ensure the highest standard of care delivery.

• Support Residents' Independence: Enable residents to live life on their own terms by promoting choice and autonomy in daily activities.
• Contribute to Quality of Life: Enhance physical, emotional, and lifestyle interests of residents, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
• Clinical Interventions: Implement delegated interventions from registered nurses, aligning with individual care plans.
• Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist residents with personal needs while respecting their independence and dignity.
• Prioritization and Compassion: Prioritize workload effectively, delivering care with kindness, patience, and respect for individual needs.

• Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Aged Care Knowledge: Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards, Act, and Principles crucial.
• Reliability and Basic Computer Skills: Ability to work rosters with set shifts and basic computer skills required.
• WH&S and Infection Control: Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control procedures necessary.
• Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support: Current certification or working towards it.
• NDIS Clearance and Immunisation: Current NDIS clearance, proof of rights to work, and immunisation certificate (including influenza and COVID-19) required.
