Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our kitchen team, reporting directly to the Executive Chef.
The ideal candidate will have a background in both à la carte and banqueting operations, with a creative approach to menu development and a desire to achieve excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and overseeing food preparations in the à la carte and banqueting kitchens.
- Developing and testing new recipes and seasonal menus that showcase flavour and creativity.
- Supervising, training, and developing kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Ensuring high-quality food standards and maintaining hygiene protocols throughout the kitchen operations.
- Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Fostering interdepartmental collaboration throughout the hotel.
Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate will possess:
- A proven track record in managing large-scale culinary operations.
- Strong understanding of seasonal menu creation and design.
- Experience with banqueting operations (preferably).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Food Safety (HACCP) regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse culinary workforce.
