Support Individuals with Mental Health Challenges

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Wollongong. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality support and care to individuals with mental health diagnoses.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and companionship to participants
  • Assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence
  • Implementing personalized care plans and support strategies

You will be working in a safe and supportive environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent English communication and verbal skills
  • Experience working with individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, paranoia, and complex behaviours (highly desirable)
  • A valid driver's license and own transport
  • NDIS Clearance
  • Strong mental health experience
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Police check
  • COVID-19 vaccination
  • Completion of NDIS Orientation Modules
  • Infection control training
  • Mental Health 1st aid (desirable)
  • Mental Health Cert – (desirable)
