Support Individuals with Mental Health Challenges
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Wollongong. As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality support and care to individuals with mental health diagnoses.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional support and companionship to participants
- Assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence
- Implementing personalized care plans and support strategies
You will be working in a safe and supportive environment where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Excellent English communication and verbal skills
- Experience working with individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, paranoia, and complex behaviours (highly desirable)
- A valid driver's license and own transport
- NDIS Clearance
- Strong mental health experience
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Police check
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Completion of NDIS Orientation Modules
- Infection control training
- Mental Health 1st aid (desirable)
- Mental Health Cert – (desirable)
