About the Role

  • As a key team member, you will play a vital role in supporting the Workplace Injury Commission in resolving workers' compensation disputes.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing first-line customer service, responding to and resolving queries in a caring and empathetic manner.
  • Determining jurisdiction and accurately registering Applications for Conciliation, contributing to the effective management of conciliation disputes.
  • Providing procedural advice, guidance, and information relating to the conciliation and arbitration processes and the conduct of conferences and hearings.
  • Undertaking rotational reception coverage, switchboard, and mail-related duties.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience providing administrative support to multiple stakeholders within a service-oriented legal environment or similar.
  • Preferably, experience with the Victorian Worker's Compensation Scheme.
  • Previous client service experience, particularly working with vulnerable people from diverse backgrounds with complex needs.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to engage empathetically with people of all walks of life.
  • Ability to learn current processes and procedures and bring a fresh perspective on continuous improvement and efficiencies.
