Wellbeing Strategy and Improvement Leader

The Department of Education is seeking a Wellbeing Strategy and Improvement Leader to drive key deliverables within priority student wellbeing initiatives.

About the Role

As a Wellbeing Strategy and Improvement Leader, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that support improved wellbeing service delivery models for NSW public schools.

  • Develop and implement wellbeing strategies that align with the Department's priorities and goals;
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address barriers to wellbeing in schools;
  • Develop and implement projects to improve wellbeing outcomes for students;
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing wellbeing strategies that align with the Department's priorities and goals;
  • Providing technical advice and guidance on wellbeing matters to education leaders and staff;
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures related to wellbeing in schools;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and recent school-based experience or recent non-school based teaching service (NSBTS) experience;
  • Demonstrated commitment to participating in and managing accreditation processes;
  • Proven ability to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders and work collaboratively within and across teams;
  • High-level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including preparation of documents and correspondence;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, provide sound advice, and work independently;
  • Demonstrated capacity to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed quality standards;
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement strategic initiatives and innovative practices that support education change for improved student learning outcomes;
