Job Title: Pricing and Performance Manager

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving financial success through the development of multi-year strategic pricing plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive, long-term pricing strategies to achieve business goals and drive revenue growth.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and analysis for short-term tactical product and pricing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Mentor analysts and senior analysts, fostering a high-performance culture that promotes collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities and risks associated with various product initiatives, developing optimisation or mitigation strategies to ensure commercial success.
  • Design commercial models to understand the likely business impacts of initiatives, including customer impacts and financial impacts, and make informed decisions accordingly.
  • Analyse complex data from various sources, using multiple tools and techniques to uncover insights and trends.
  • Create high-quality presentations for executive-level stakeholders on pricing strategy and commercial performance, effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Work closely with the analytics, product, and sales teams to develop a deep understanding of customers' businesses, consumers' needs, and the marketplace, identifying opportunities to drive growth and improve profitability.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, including economics, marketing, and journalism teams, to leverage expertise and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience in a product/pricing role, with a proven track record of delivering commercial business outcomes.
  • Excellent skills in Excel and SQL, with the ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
  • Experience in digital performance and listings models, with a solid understanding of their application in a commercial context.
  • 7+ years relevant industry experience, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions and priorities.
  • First-class communication, written, verbal, and presenting skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply and persuasively.
  • Ability to relate to individuals at all levels, both formally and informally, with a collaborative and empathetic approach to teamwork.
