About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Nutrition and Catering Professional to join our team at Ngala Community Services. As a Kitchen Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of quality, service, and presentation of meals.

The successful applicant will work autonomously to cook and prepare meals as per the menu, stock and produce shopping, ordering, and rotation, plating up, and delivery of meals to children's rooms. They will also check and record the temperature of food.

A key aspect of this role is awareness of children's requirements and allergies, with meal preparation tailored accordingly. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of special dietary requirements and food allergies.

What You'll Do:
  • Cook and prepare meals according to the menu.
  • Manage stock and produce, including ordering and rotation.
  • Prepare and deliver meals to children's rooms.
  • Monitor and record the temperature of food.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooking and preparing meals.
  • Stock and produce management.
  • Maintenance of kitchen cleanliness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Early Childhood.
  • Food Safety and Allergen training qualification.
  • Knowledge of special dietary requirements and food allergies.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in food preparation and cooking.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and initiative.
