Casual Teaching Artists for Melbourne

We are currently seeking experienced teaching artists to work across our program for children and young people ages 2-18 years and adult short course ages 18+ programs in Melbourne. This is a casual teaching opportunity.
About the RoleThis role involves working with students aged 2-18 years and adults in various performing arts classes, including creative play, drama, musical theatre, and technical production. As a teaching artist, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback.
You will be working collaboratively with the NIDA Open programming team to develop and implement educational programs that cater to diverse age groups and skill levels.
Your expertise and passion for teaching will enable you to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential in the performing arts.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the performing arts or education;
- Proven teaching experience in the performing arts, preferably in a similar setting;
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one.
