Job Description

The successful candidate will drive the Linfox safety evolution by proactively coaching and mentoring others to increase knowledge, ownership, and engagement in SH&W. You will be responsible for partnering with the leadership team to plan, develop, and execute the safety, health, and wellbeing plan. This includes:

  • Actively supporting and promoting the Linfox safety evolution journey to strengthen our safety culture with a focus on care, trust, and inclusion;
  • Ensuring that the business takes a risk-based approach when it comes to the identification and control of every day and critical risks;
  • Facilitating 4Ds and STKY sessions to help our team find better and safer ways to work;
  • Providing direction and support for serious incident investigations with a focus on learning, improving, and implementing risk controls;
  • Embedding health and wellbeing with a focus on general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue;
  • Creating a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks;
  • Managing the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements;
  • Reporting and presenting on performance, trends, and outcomes;
  • Coaching and developing the capability of the Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced professional who can demonstrate:

  • Risk Management: A comprehensive understanding of how to practically identify, assess, and manage risk;
  • Cross-Functional Coaching: Experience in coaching or training with the ability to talk, listen, and influence across a broad range of stakeholders;
  • Culture Building: Experience in building a strong 'team-based' culture;
  • Safety Expertise: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment;
  • Health and Wellbeing: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness;
  • Compliance: An understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment that exists for WHS;
  • Continuous Learning: A keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others;
  • Enthusiasm and Passion: Energy and passion for leading by example and driving positive change.
