Job Title: Support Services Coordinator

We provide ongoing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
  2. Provide transportation assistance and logistical support for client outings.
  3. Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing a much-needed break and alleviating stress.
  4. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate records of client care plans and progress, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
  5. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals in the care team, fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.
  6. Comply with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all clients.
  7. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices, advancements in disability care, and relevant legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. High school or equivalent qualification, with a focus on social work, psychology, or a related field.
  2. Certificate III or IV in individual support, or a willingness to complete it within a specified timeframe.
  3. Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable populations.
  4. Availability for various shifts and days, including weekends and public holidays.
  5. Strong understanding of relevant laws, policies, and guidelines governing disability services, including the NDIS.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations.
