
Support Services Coordinator

We provide ongoing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including eating, dressing, bathing, grooming, and mobility.
- Provide transportation assistance and logistical support for client outings.
- Offer respite care to clients and their families, providing a much-needed break and alleviating stress.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accurate records of client care plans and progress, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals in the care team, fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.
- Comply with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for all clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices, advancements in disability care, and relevant legislation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent qualification, with a focus on social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Certificate III or IV in individual support, or a willingness to complete it within a specified timeframe.
- Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disabilities, demonstrating a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable populations.
- Availability for various shifts and days, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, policies, and guidelines governing disability services, including the NDIS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with a focus on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations.
