Job Title: Youth Support Specialist

The Department for Child Protection is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as a Youth Support Specialist. In this role, you will work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to provide support and assistance in a sensitive and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Sensitively handle client requests for assistance and undertake research to prepare appropriate responses.">
  • Enable clients to access services through accurate assessment of their requests and make suitable referrals to relevant staff.">
  • Contribute to the development and review of intervention plans in relation to access supervision.">
  • Attend case discussions with department workers, supervisors, and other relevant parties as required.">
  • Provide child and family support, assisting with programs and activities while demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate initiative, confidence, and strong communication skills. You must also have the ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

You will also need to be skilled in developing a network of support and community services for clients, and in signposting them to relevant service providers. Drawing on your knowledge of child development, positive parenting techniques, and the factors that influence family relationships, you will identify innovative solutions and deliver high-quality support.
