
Youth Mental Health Implementation Specialist

Orygen is a Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health and the largest translational research organisation dedicated to youth mental health in the world.
For over 30 years, they have led groundbreaking early intervention and developed evidence-based models of care to improve the mental health outcomes of young people aged 12-25.
The Youth Mental Health Implementation Specialist will play a critical role in implementing a digital platform to augment the mental health support young people receive from services. They will engage with service leaders, staff, funders, and stakeholders to support the successful implementation of this initiative.
The specialist will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the project.
- Act as an embedded liaison within participating services, providing regular on-site support, guidance, and problem-solving for the digital platform.
- Deliver training and respond to queries from service staff, ensuring confidence in using the platform and related service model.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine implementation strategies, training materials, and processes based on feedback, research, and evolving needs.
- Manage implementation across multiple services with varying complexities, proactively addressing challenges to ensure successful adoption.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:
- A fully qualified degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or another relevant field, along with eligibility for membership with a registering body.
- Experience in youth mental health services, including knowledge of Australian mental health systems, service models, and the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong skills in implementing new initiatives within clinical contexts, including training, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Proficiency in office software and presentation tools, as well as confidence with digital technologies.
- Excellent relationship-building, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
