Lead Insurance Portfolio Manager

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the management of our insurance portfolio across regulated and unregulated businesses.
- Design, implement and manage the company's insurance plan to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee annual renewals and secure policies for major construction projects to guarantee optimal coverage and risk mitigation.
- Provide expert advice on insurance terms, risk transfer, and compliance to facilitate seamless operations.
- Manage claims, offer guidance following insurable losses, and maintain transparency and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Present reports to executives and the Board, showcasing key performance indicators and strategic insights.
- Deliver comprehensive insurance training across the organization, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and best practices.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience.
- At least 3 years of managing corporate insurance programs, preferably in energy or infrastructure.
- Strong skills in broker/insurer management, policy review, and claims handling.
- Experience negotiating insurance clauses in commercial contracts.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Professionalism, resilience, and a strong work ethic.
