Renewable Energy Insurance Specialist

We are currently seeking an Insurance Manager to join our organization. This is a unique opportunity to shape Australia's clean energy future by managing the transition to renewable energy.
This role presents an exciting challenge in the energy industry, where recent government policy documents outline plans for increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
The OpportunityYou will lead the management of our insurance portfolio across both regulated and unregulated businesses. This involves providing specialist advice, managing key broker and insurer relationships, and supporting the Head of Enterprise Risk in delivering strategic objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing our insurance management plan, leading annual renewals, securing project-specific policies for major construction projects, advising on insurance and contractual terms, risk transfer, and compliance, managing claims, and providing guidance following insurable losses.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience
- 3+ years managing corporate insurance programs, ideally in energy or infrastructure
- Strong skills in broker/insurer management, policy review, and claims handling
- Experience negotiating insurance clauses in commercial contracts
- Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Professionalism, resilience, and a strong work ethic
