Chief Insurance Strategist

This position is responsible for designing and implementing our insurance management plan, leading annual renewals, and securing project-specific policies for major construction projects. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice, manage key broker and insurer relationships, and support the Head of Enterprise Risk in delivering strategic objectives.

• Designing and implementing insurance management plans
• Leading annual renewals and securing project-specific policies for major construction projects
• Advising on insurance and contractual terms, risk transfer, and compliance
• Managing claims and providing guidance following insurable losses
• Preparing reports for executives and stakeholders
• Delivering insurance training across the organization

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in broker/insurer management, policy review, and claims handling, as well as experience negotiating insurance clauses in commercial contracts.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience
• 3+ years managing corporate insurance programs, ideally in energy or infrastructure
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Professionalism, resilience, and a strong work ethic
