State Distribution Manager Job

This is a full-time role in the State Distribution Department. The main responsibilities of this job include managing all product lines within the distributor network, achieving targeted sales and contribution margin through effective utilisation of promotional funds, agreed distribution of products, and negotiation of promotional activity.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline, experience in Foodservice, Sales, or a related FMCG industry, demonstrated IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, and substantial demonstrated account management experience.

About the Role
  • Manage the overall distribution strategy for all product lines within the state distributor network.
  • Negotiate and manage independent trading terms with distributors.
  • Achieve and maintain distribution of new and current products, ensuring customer retention and acquisition.
  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure tactical execution of business plans at End User level.
  • Prepare and maintain an Annual Business Development Plan outlining strategies to drive business across all product lines within the state.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong planning and organisational skills, high-level business acumen, and the ability to build relationships aligned to customer focus and business plans.

We are looking for someone who can work closely with our State Sales Manager - Northern and operate autonomously, has excellent communication and negotiation skills, and can provide coaching and support to our NSW Area Sales Representatives.

About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline.
  • Experience in Foodservice, Sales, or a related FMCG industry.
  • Demonstrated IT skills, including proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Substantial demonstrated account management experience.
  • Ability to work closely with our State Sales Manager - Northern and operate autonomously.
