Job Description

We are seeking an HSE professional to join our team. As a Shutdown HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining operational continuity and delivering the HSE contract strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, assess, and monitor project risks to maintain a proactive safety culture.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and sustainable workplace.
  • Participate in pre-start meetings, risk assessments, and hazard identification processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, site procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Engage in on-site activities to help mitigate risks and improve safety performance.
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs in line with the HSE Management System and client requirements.
  • Manage incident and hazard reporting processes and oversee corrective actions.
  • Analyse project HSE performance data and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive HSE awareness, training, and compliance across the site.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide teams on best HSE practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
  • 2-3 years of site-based HSE experience in the resourcing sector (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage teams effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools, including tablets, computers, apps, and HSE systems.
