Key Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join the pharmacy team as Grade 3 Senior Medicines Policy and Strategy Lead. The role involves driving innovation, standardisation, efficiency and supporting best care regarding medication use.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and lead medicines-related Policies, Procedures and Guidelines (PPGs) and medication protocols that support safe, standardised and sustainable medicines use across Western Health.
  • Establish a consistent and efficient approach to creating, reviewing, and maintaining PPGs in accordance with the Western Health PPG Framework.
  • Support the review and authorship of non-pharmacy sponsored PPGs, including collaboration with specialist pharmacists as required.
  • Lead the development, standardisation, and governance of internal pharmacy procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with operational workflows.
About You
  • Experience engaging with multidisciplinary stakeholders to shape clinical policy and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and governing clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Excellent word processing, spread sheet and database software skills.
  • Experience in providing pharmacy services to a broad range of specialty areas.
