Support Worker Job Description

This role centers on supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful lives and actively drive their own decisions and goals.

  • Delivering personalized support in a group home setting, occasionally working across the lifestyle/day program
  • Assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administering medication and manual handling using various equipment and aids
  • Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community
  • Supporting clients to make their own choices and build skills to be more independent
  • Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
  • Supporting clients with transport, e.g. using minivan

Job Requirements:

  • Available for a minimum of 3 days a week, 20-25 hours (minimum requirement)
  • A current NSW Driver's License (P2 minimum)
  • Experience as a support worker in disability or nursing/assistant in nursing/aged care roles
