Job Overview

This is a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Compliance in navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

The position is based in Sydney and involves overseeing compliance operations and implementing policies across its related entities.

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Compliance, to join our Risk and Compliance function.

About the Role:
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of obligations library, ensuring it's comprehensive and fit for purpose.
  • Lead breach assessment process for all incidents.
  • Develop and execute conflicts of interest plans for senior leaders, ensuring they detail relevant interests and duties and highlight where conflicts exist.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with the compliance function.
  • Prepare and present compliance updates to senior management and relevant committees.
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of the compliance function and promote continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and support the Head of Compliance in developing strategies to address compliance challenges.
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in a compliance or legal function within the financial services industry, preferably in superannuation, with 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance practices in superannuation and global fund management.
  • Proven track record in managing regulatory change and compliance initiatives.
