About the role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Manager to join their Legal & Group Risk team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Group Risk & Assurance, this role is pivotal in shaping and embedding the enterprise compliance framework. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the organisation meets regulatory obligations, supports business units with compliance activities, and drives a strong culture of accountability and integrity across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the enterprise compliance framework, policies and programs.
  • Lead compliance reviews, risk assessments and provide expert regulatory advice.
  • Partner with business units to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation and regulatory obligations.
  • Engage with regulators, legal advisors and senior stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Support the preparation of Board and Audit & Risk Committee papers and compliance reporting.
  • Deliver training to leaders and teams to strengthen compliance awareness and practices.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Audit, Insurance and Legal teams to ensure alignment with risk appetite and governance standards.
About you
  • 7+ years' experience in compliance, controls or audit within a large corporate (ASX-listed experience highly regarded).
  • Strong track record in developing and embedding compliance frameworks.
  • Solid grasp of regulatory, compliance, assurance and governance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and proactively with business leaders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Commerce or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional compliance or governance certification desirable.
