About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Custody Tax Professional to join our team at State Street Corporation.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling client documentations for availing tax reliefs or to process tax reclaim that withheld at source of dividend/interest payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze tax information and documentation provided from clients.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients for custody tax-related processes.
  • Update tax databases allowing correct fiscal treatment according to applicable client residence, status, and sub-custodians procedures.
  • Provide clients with regular market updates and tax filing status.
  • Manage fiscal documentation required for relief-at-source and monitor the application status.
  • Collaborate with internal counterparts in EMEA and North America to collect tax information and resolve client enquiries.
  • Perform daily controls on team activity as per existing SOP and checklists to ensure priorities have been respected and tasks have been properly performed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in custody operations or tax administration.
  • Sound knowledge about custody operations, tax relief at source, and reclaim.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational skills.

Compensation

We offer an estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 depending on qualifications and experience. State Street Corporation is committed to providing competitive compensation packages that reflect the value we place on our employees' contributions.
