Senior Operations Tax Associate

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Associate to join our Custody Tax team at State Street Corporation.
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be responsible for handling client documentation for tax reliefs or reclaim of tax withheld at source of dividend/interest payments.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Collecting and analyzing tax information and documentation provided by clients
• Supporting the onboarding of new clients for custody tax-related processes
• Updating the tax database to ensure correct fiscal treatment according to applicable client residence, status, and sub-custodians procedures
• Providing clients with regular market updates and tax filing status
• Managing fiscal documentation required for relief-at-source and monitoring the application status
• Collaborating with internal counterparts in EMEA and North America to collect tax information and resolve client enquiries
• Performing daily controls on team activity as per existing SOP and checklists to ensure priorities have been respected and tasks have been properly performed
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in custody operations or tax administration
• Sound knowledge of Custody Operations, Tax Relief at source, and Reclaim
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational skills
