About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our Custody Operations team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing tax expertise and support to our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in taxation, with experience in custody operations and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. You will work closely with our internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding, data management, and fiscal documentation compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze tax information and documentation from clients;
  • Support the onboarding process for new clients related to custody tax services;
  • Update tax databases accurately, ensuring compliance with applicable client residence, status, and sub-custodian procedures;
  • Provide regular market updates and tax filing status reports to clients;
  • Manage fiscal documentation required for relief-at-source and monitor application status;
  • Collaborate with internal teams in EMEA and North America to collect tax information and resolve client inquiries;
  • Perform daily controls on team activity, adhering to existing SOPs and checklists to ensure priorities are respected and tasks are properly completed.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field;
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in custody operations or tax administration;
  • Sound knowledge of custody operations, tax relief at source, and reclaim;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes;
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational skills.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive rewards program.
