About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Operation Specialist to join our Custody Tax team in Sydney.

Job Summary

This role will be responsible for collecting and analyzing tax information and documentation provided from clients, supporting onboarding processes, updating tax databases, providing market updates, managing fiscal documentation, and collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Collect and analyze tax information and documentation provided from clients
  2. Support onboarding of new clients for custody tax related processes
  3. Update tax database allowing correct fiscal treatment according to applicable client residence, status and sub-custodians procedures
  4. Provide clients with regular market updates and tax filing status
  5. Manage fiscal documentation required for relief-at-source and monitor the application status
  6. Collaborate with internal counterpart in EMEA and North America to collect tax information and resolve client enquiry
  7. Perform daily controls on team activity as per existing SOP and checklists to ensure priorities have been respected and tasks have been properly performed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in custody operation or tax administration
  • Sound Knowledge about Custody Operations, Tax Relief at source and Reclaim
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changes
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, superannuation, and professional development opportunities.
