Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated Traffic Engineering Lead to join our project team. The selected candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of project transport systems while adhering to Australian Standards and Main Roads Codes of Practice.

Key Job Expectations:
  • Comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards, local Councils, Austroads, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), and other Roads Codes of Practice is essential.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to prepare, design, and review traffic management plans, including Traffic Guidance Schemes.
  • Pre-planning and risk assessments are also key aspects of this role.
  • This position requires the ability to oversee and coordinate various phases of traffic-related tasks on the project.
  • Negotiation skills to obtain permits and foster relationships with relevant authorities are crucial.
  • Ensuring timely rostering and job arrangements for the Traffic Management team, meeting regulatory specifications is a key responsibility.
  • All tasks associated with Traffic Management as required by the project must be performed.
  • This role involves supervising and assisting on day-to-day activities of the Traffic Management team.
  • Accurate daily activity sheets must be maintained, authorizing modifications to traffic management schemes as needed.
  • Traffic Management schemes should be reviewed in accordance with basic rules derived from generic traffic control diagrams.
  • Providing technical advice on Traffic Engineering and Traffic Management, including design, routes, and access is a key function.
