Senior Transport Coordinator

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring transport orders are efficiently scheduled, optimised and executed in line with customer expectations and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full transport cycle from order receipt to delivery confirmation
- Optimise loads, routes, and capacity using internal TMS systems
- Allocate orders to compliant carriers and ensure adherence to operational procedures
- Monitor and manage exceptions to minimise service risks and delivery delays
- Maintain accurate master data and ensure all records are current within the system
- Liaise with both carrier and customer operational teams to ensure seamless execution
- Conduct safety and compliance checks in line with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) standards
- Strong background in transport operations, freight scheduling, or logistics coordination
- Proficiency with transport management systems and optimisation tools
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage fluctuating workloads and maintain composure under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Sound judgment and analytical thinking when making operational decisions
- Understanding of Australian road transport regulations and compliance practices
