Our market-leading portfolio includes over 40 brands, such as Jim Beam and Maker's Mark Bourbon, Hibiki Japanese Whisky, Canadian Club Whisky, -196, V Energy, Maximus, and Suntory BOSS Coffee. As One Suntory, we will be positioned as the fourth largest beverage player in the region, ready to ignite the category and create more beverage moments from sunrise to sunset.
The Opportunity
We're building a best-in-class sales team for our brand-new Australian licensed function that will go-live in July 2025. This role offers something unique and career-defining: you will build your team from the ground up and play a key role in establishing work processes that best serve your team to achieve sales targets, grow and promote our product range, while exploring new business opportunities.
Job Description
- Lead, mentor, motivate, and develop a team of Territory Managers to achieve and exceed their monthly and annual financial objectives (generally a team of 7-10 TM's)
- Lead the team to execute against Suntory's Category, Channel, and Customer strategies
- Lead the team to deliver against their Customer Contact matrix and drive value to their called-on universe of On Premise and Off Premise customers
- Support the team in growing new business in the On Premise
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand distribution, visibility, and share of brands to increase revenue
- Lead the team to flawlessly execute key innovation and NPD initiatives in trade
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry associations
- Coach and provide timely feedback to team members on individual and team development objectives as well as career role progression
- Champion Safety and ensure everyone gets home safe every day
- Champion and bring to life by example Suntory's leadership spirits and behaviours
Requirements
You will have exceptional coaching skills and experience in leading and inspiring a team to deliver strong results. You will have a proven ability to manage targets, build new accounts with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. With a strong analytical capability to help navigate sales data into actionable insights. Experience within the Liquor industry is highly advantageous.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
