As a key player in our consumer finance operations, the Legal Counsel will provide critical legal advice to support business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements that align with our strategic objectives.
  • Support the Head of Legal with administrative tasks and secretariat requirements.
  • Analyse legal issues presented by the business to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes and legislative reforms to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance team to respond to emerging legal issues and maintain a risk-free environment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-5 years' post-qualification experience as a financial services/banking & finance lawyer.
  • Proven expertise in consumer credit (NCCP) with a strong understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritisation and attention to detail, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
